HISTORY
Arteriors
Home is a leading importer and national wholesale resource
of fine accessories, accent furniture and residential lighting.
Mark Moussa, a veteran of the home accents business, started
Arteriors Home in 1987. His interest in creating a unique
home accents business grew from his many years working in
his father’s decorative accessories import business.
Based in Dallas, Arteriors Home started as an accessory resource
offering a carefully edited collection of traditional pieces. The Tanner
Collection, the first portable lighting venture, was introduced
in 1995 and was followed by a lifestyle lamp company called
Kenzie in 1999. Kenzie gave the company an opportunity to
introduce more whimsical and trendy lighting products.
In recent years, the company has merged its divisions and
overhauled its offerings to include a comprehensive selection
of modern home accents in coordinated collections that are
composed of a medium to high-end mix of products. Arteriors
Home offers its products to designers and retailers through
its wholesale showrooms and biannual four-color catalogs.
A permanent company showroom is located in High Point, North
Carolina, at the International Home Furnishings Center. In
addition, Arteriors Home is represented in permanent showrooms
in Atlanta, Dallas, Kansas City, Denver and Seattle. A nationwide
network of sales representatives sells the products throughout
the United States and Canada.
The showrooms have been designed to make it easy for the buyer
to shop while displaying a mix of Arteriors Home products
with a focus on highlighting new items. The catalogs feature
unique and imaginative selections that are grouped by category
and style. The designers at Arteriors Home work with manufacturers
around the world to create custom products that are classics
with timeless appeal. Offerings include traditional old-world
designs as well as products offering today’s transitional
styles. Materials used include leather, crystal, iron, brass,
bronze, nickel, wood, glass, ceramics and porcelain. The company
introduces over 500 new items every year.
