Mark Moussa, CEO and Founder of Arteriors

A veteran of the home furnishings business, Mark Moussa has an entrepreneurial spirit and intuitive sense of design that was cultivated in him from a very young age. Working alongside his father in the family import-export business, Mark not only learned the trade but was also exposed to a rich environment of international people, culture and beauty.

Today, Moussa is the force behind the evolving company, always anticipating what the design community will look for next. His appreciation and understanding of the design process underscores his commitment to the intricate relationship between designers, factories and the skilled artisans who interpret and produce these exceptional products. As he says, “I’ve been a part of home product design since I was very young, and I’ve known some of my suppliers since they worked with my father.” Moussa’s deep-rooted sense of tradition and his experience-based knowledge are reflected in the products offered by Arteriors.

This floor lamp has a fabulous presence in a room. The design is simple, but also complicated due to the way the four arms hold the shade. It's also very geometrical because the arms line up with the pipe creating clean angles and a pleasing symmetry.

I love the way the light reflects off the hand hammered brass on the inside of the rings and contrasts with the dark bronze finish on the outside. The concentric circles can spin on the axis, allowing you to arrange them to suit your space or your own design preference.

This entire table is made from cast brass...the only way to get that level of detail. The intricate leaf design on the base is a great contrast to the sleek and simple top. A perfect side table between two chairs or resting in the middle of a room.

This is so amazing. It is solid brass and is handformed and hand-etched to replicate origami. I love the asymmetrical shape of the frame and think it would be great to hang over a powder room sink.

Each gray-washed wood ring of this pendant is handcut and shaped then hand finished creating a fabulous, organic look that is truly a piece of art. This is the first kind of its design in our line, and I'm really excited about it.
