Barry Dixon Gets Personal in His Latest Collection with Arteriors

What began 35 years ago as a boutique accessories company has evolved into a global design force, shaped in large part by Arteriors’ collaborations with acclaimed designers. Through these creative partnerships, the brand has built an expansive portfolio spanning lighting, furniture, wall decor, and accessories—each piece defined by inventive design, thoughtful material pairings, and artisan craftsmanship.

Ongoing Dialogue

Barry Dixon S26 Collection

Among Arteriors’ most enduring collaborations is that with acclaimed interior designer Barry Dixon—a relationship that has evolved over multiple collections, including their seventh iteration, the Barry Dixon for Arteriors Spring 2026 Collection. Encompassing lighting, furniture, and decorative objects, each piece in the capsule collection is rooted in a specific memory, journey, or material discovery.

“Dixon brings a layered perspective shaped by life experiences across India, Pakistan, Korea, New Caledonia, and South Africa,” says Gregory Heller, Vice President of Product. “Today, much of his inspiration is rooted closer to home, on his 300-acre Virginia farm, where landscape and light offer a daily source of reflection.”

Organic Influence

Dixon shares that each piece begins with an image—often captured on his iPhone—and an instinctive response to the natural world. “We always look to the natural world around us, whether I’m out on my ATV or taking long walks across the property,” he says.

All of which play a part in the subtleties seen throughout the collection, such as clusters of muscadine vines that tangle into trees as reflected in the serpentine-like Muscadine Floor Lamp, the swamp stump base of the Faun Entry Table, and the global perspective of the Totem Floor Lamp.

Sculpted Stories

Will O' The Wisp Chandelier

Nature isn’t only visual for Dixon; he also views it as a comment on land and lore. “The Will-O’-the-Wisp has a Southern folklore where gases are emitted from the ground in swampy or boggy areas around a pond or in a swamp, creating a fireball effect,” he says.

That sense of quiet luminosity is what inspired the Will O’ The Wisp Chandelier, imagined hanging in the murky woods at night.

Material Discovery

Sherwood Mirrors

Materiality also plays a central role. The Elsa Wall Sconce, inspired by a pair of Tiffany earrings worn by Dixon’s mother, is carved from onyx and backlit to bring its inner layers to life.

The Drift Wall Plaque and Pastorale Wall Plaque echo coastal and pastoral terrains, while the Sherwood Mirrors reflect a more interpretive view of the natural environment.

“Drawn from leaves, vines, and the forms of the natural world, this collection is designed to inhabit a room the way nature does, blending quietly into the background and coming to life as the light shifts,” Heller says.

The Takeaway: Design That Lives & Breathes

With this latest collection, Barry Dixon continues to blur the line between environment and object—creating pieces that don’t simply occupy a space, but evolve within it. Rooted in personal history yet universally resonant, the collection reflects a broader movement in design: one that values authenticity, storytelling, and a profound connection to the natural world.
